The “Kegon” express of the Tobu Railway, ready to leave Tokyo Asakusa station for the 94 km (58 mle) trip to Nikko. It was an extra fare train, nonstop to Nikko, for tourists to Nikko National Park and its attractions. The Nikko line is narrow gauge, 1067 mm (3′ 3″).
