Tokyo stocks open 0.5% stronger Tokyo stocks opened 0.51 per cent higher after the yen’s downturn, while market players were paying attention to tensions in Ukraine and Thailand. The Nikkei 225 index, which soared 2.11 per cent on Thursday, added 73.31 points to 14,411.10 at the start.
