Uobei Sushi – Cheap Conveyor Belt Sushi in Shibuya, Tokyo – Tokyo Video

published: 2019-01-10 12:00:01

Cheap $1 / 80p conveyor belt sushi at Uobei Sushi in Shibuya, Tokyo. It’s the sister restaurant of Genki Sushi in Japan.

Uobei is a fun, cheap sushi bar in Shibuya, also known as bullet train sushi. You order on a touchscreen and your food zooms to your place on the conveyor belt. There’s a lot of choice and it’s so cheap you can want as much as you want to without a huge bill. It’s right by Hachiko Square, the station and Shibuya 109. I’ll also show you the vegetarian / vegan options on the menu.

  2. This had me urgently searching for places for Sushi – previously the only place that I was able to go to was in cardiff – and it was truly fantastic but it is well over an hour away and the last time I went I ended up spending well over £100 for just two of us !. (I also got a speeding fine on the way home 🙁 ) But !! I discovered that my local waitrose has been doing made-to-order sushi platters for 2 whole years now – How did I not know this already ? It is the only waitrose in wales that has the service though 🙁

There is also a wagamama in hereford, which is only about half an hour from me – though they seem to be a curry & raman place without sushi.

So all In all – today's video was a great success 🙂

  3. There’s a similar store in Osaka. The touchscreen looked so much like it. I tend to eat there twice a week haha.

apparently kappa maki are eaten at the beginning of a meal to help with digestion
I'm not sure if that's true, but it's become habit for me

  6. I've always wondered why quite a few English people don't seem to like eating seafood, considering England is an island country just like Japan.

  13. I miss Kappa maki. I can eat 100 of them for sure. Sushi anywhere else is not quite as good as it is in Japan, and it must be the rice?
